Creating a star field

Using Photoshop filters, I will show you how to create a realistic star field.

1. Create a new document (Ctrl+N) with a black background.

2. Create a new layer (Layer/New/Layer)and make it black.

Go to Filter/Noise/Add Noise and create a noise with following settings: Amount: 10%, Gaussian, Monochromatic.

3. Duplicate this layer (Layer/Dublicate layer...) and go to Image/Adjustments/Brightness & Contrast and run Brightness: -40, Contrast: 80.
