4. Create a selection using Elliptical Marquee Tool. Create a new layer (Layer/New). Name it "border".

 

5. Fill it with color. And place under "button" layer.

 

6. Go to Layer/Layer style/Gradient overlay.

In trully I think this tutorial is very nice ok.. but isn't very detailed.. and this isn't very helpful for a beginner.
